Competitions like Miss India and Miss Universe offer young women a global platform to showcase their talent and grace โ but what about the younger dreamers still in school? Nanhi Pari โ Little Miss India was created to fill this very space. Itโs a unique national-level platform that celebrates the confidence, charm, and potential of school-going girls, giving them an early opportunity to shine, express themselves, and step into the spotlight.
The journey of Nanhi Pari began in 2001 in Keonjhar, Odisha as a small local event. With growing popularity and the vision of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, the event took shape nationally in 2004, and later came under the care of KIIT Group of Institutions in 2015. Since then, it has grown into a prestigious national event, celebrating talent, personality, confidence, and charm in young girls.
Now, with the aim of reaching more young talents across the country, we are proud to introduce the Hyderabad Resource Centre for KIIT Nanhi Pari. Through this centre, we connect with participants, parents, and supporters from the South, especially Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Objectives of Nanhi Pari
- To discover and support young girls with talent across India, helping them grow into confident and successful women.
- To offer a stage for young participants to showcase their skills, personality, and confidence, preparing them for future opportunities, including adult beauty pageants.
- To establish Nanhi Pari as the leading beauty pageant for young girls in India through quality, credibility, and consistent impact.
- To guide and support young talents as they take steps toward participating in national and international platforms.
- To empower girls by building their self-belief, grooming, and life skills, encouraging them to dream big and reach their full potential.
Looking Ahead
The remarkable journey of KIIT and KISS – from a modest beginning in the 1990s to becoming institutions of national and international repute reflects the strong spirit of Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Transforming personal hardships and struggles into a source of strength. Dr. Samanta has scripted an inspiring success story. Rising from humble origins, he has dedicated his life to empowering thousands of underprivileged tribal children through KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences), a globally praised institution.
Beyond his pioneering contributions in the fields of education and social entrepreneurship, Dr. Samanta has served on 15 apex bodies of the Government of India. Notably, he was a Commission Member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) from 2008 to 2014 and a Member of the Executive Committee of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). His influence also extends internationally, as a member of esteemed bodies such as the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), USA; Asia Economic Forum (AEF); and University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP), Bangkok. In recognition of his significant contributions, he was elected General President of the prestigious Indian Science Congress Association for the 2017โ18 term.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a visionary far beyond the dominions of KIIT and KISS, remains deeply connected to his roots and life philosophy – respecting the mother, motherland, and mother tongue. His unwavering commitment to promoting and preserving literature, art, and culture has led to the establishment of several creative and cultural platforms. These include Kalinga Media Pvt. Ltd. (which runs the 24×7 news channel Kalinga TV), Kadambini โ a widely-read Odia literary family magazine, Kunikatha โ a vibrant children’s magazine, and the KIIT Temple Trust, which encourages 25 spiritual centres. His continuing love for creativity and tradition also finds expression through his role as the Chief Patron of โNANHI PARI โ The Little Miss Indiaโ, a one-of-a-kind talent platform celebrating young girls from across the country.
Dr. Samantaโs great humanitarian work has been recognized in the form of numerous national and international awards, highlighting his unwavering commitment to education, social equity, and tribal upliftment. He has been honoured with the prestigious PIO (Person of Indian Origin) Excellence Award and many other accolades for peace, social transformation, and educational innovation. Notably, he has also been conferred with 68 Honorary Doctorate degrees from esteemed universities across the world-an exceptional recognition of his visionary leadership and lifelong dedication to empowering the underprivileged through holistic and inclusive development.

In just 15 years, it has carved a unique identity for itselfโcelebrated across the nation as the โLittle Miss Indiaโ competition. Nanhi Pari stands today as a one-of-a-kind event, inspiring confidence, values, and dreams in young girls from every corner of India.
KIIT Nanhipari 2025- Hyderabad Auditions
The Hyderabad regional auditions are conducted by the KIIT Hyderabad Resource Centre and serve as the official selection round for participants from Telangana and surrounding regions.
Registration Process
- Interested participants must register by sharing their details with the Hyderabad team.
- Each participant must send a 1-minute video that includes:
- A brief self-introduction
- A quick showcase of any talent (dance, singing, mimicry, poem, music, etc.)

Selection Process
- From all entries received, the best 30 participants will be shortlisted for the Hyderabad audition round.
- Out of these, 2 finalists will be selected to represent Hyderabad in the Grand Finale at Bhubaneswar in December 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Girls aged 13 to 15 years
- Minimum height of 5 feet
- Must be of Indian origin and good health
- Should not have won KIIT Nanhipari previously (winner/runner-up)

Winners Shine Bright
The KIIT Hyderabad Resource Centre successfully organized the Hyderabad auditions of KIIT Nanhipari 2025 โ Little Miss India at Telugu University, Nampally. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young girls across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, who showcased their confidence and talent through a wide variety of performances.
The stage came alive with ring dance, Kuchipudi, Lambadi dance, Lezim dance, tribal dance, Koya dance, keyboard playing, singing, veena playing, western dance, folk singing, and folk forest dance, reflecting a rich blend of tradition, tribal heritage, and modernity. The audience was captivated by the grace, rhythm, and creativity of the participants, making the auditions a vibrant celebration of young talent.
